Having one or two reliable fairway woods in your bag has become an essential part of the modern game. Advancements in technology have made them far easier to use when compared to the fairway woods of yesteryear. They are also far more versatile and can be used as strong back up clubs on tight tee shots where good distance is still required, or to hit towering approaches to long par 4’s or par 5’s. TaylorMade have been industry leaders in the fairway wood category ever since the release of the RBZ range way back in 2012, and they are by far the most popular brand of fairway wood on all major professional golf tours.
The new TaylorMade Stealth Plus range of fairway woods looks set to cement that status even further as they arrive on the market for the 2022 season. Offering beautifully sleek aesthetics and mind-blowing performance the Stealth Plus fairway wood are powered by an all new ultra-thin Zatech Titanium face, which has enabled TaylorMade engineers to increase ball-speed to new levels. When paired with their innovative Twist Face technology the result is long and straight shots that will leave your playing partners green with envy.
The V Steel soleplate that was employed so successfully on the outgoing Sim 2 Ti fairway has been redesigned to further improve forgiveness and turf interaction from the multitude of different lies your ball will find itself in throughout the course of a round. When placed behind the ball at address the 175cc clubhead provides a confidence inspiring profile for amateurs whilst also retaining the preferred shape for better players. Remarkably, TaylorMade have managed to increase the size of the clubface by 12% over the Sim 2 Ti without this impacting on the overall size of the profile at address.
New Advanced Laser Alignment technology provides a vital contrast between the face and the crown at address which serves to make the difficult task of aligning the clubface square a far simpler task. As with all TaylorMade fairway woods of recent years, the Stealth Plus features the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket which began the revolution in fairway wood design. This technology has been further enhanced with increased flexibility and provides a much welcome boost in ball speeds and forgiveness on low face strikes.
With an adjustable loft sleeve that allows fine tuning of launch and trajectory the Stealth Plus Fairway Wood is another home run for the golfing behemoths of TaylorMade. What does Custom Fitting cost?
In many cases, there is no charge. Some manufacturers charge an upcharge for certain shafts or grips but there are many options that don't cost a penny more than the standard set.
Do Custom Fit sets take longer to be delivered?
Yes. As the golf clubs will be built by the manufacturer specifically for you, they may take up to 10-14 working days to be delivered. As soon as we receive them, we will send them on a next day delivery service and email you to let you know they are on the way.
