PING was founded in 1959 by Karsten Solheim. After developing early putters in his garage, the PING brand soon developed a large following on Tour and with the development of the Anser putter in 1966 made the company among the most famous in golf. The Anser has been responsible for over 500 Tour wins and has directly influenced the design of putter ever since. Today, PING has several representatives on the worldwide Tours and has multiple Tour and Major Championship wins.
