MIZUNO IRONS STEEL

Mizuno were originally formed in Japan in 1906 and began making golf clubs in 1933. Since that date Mizuno Golf has been a frontrunner in the golfing world, creating beautiful looking and feeling irons year after year.

Produced in Hiroshima, Japan using the finest grain flow forging techniques, they offer feel and control off the face unsurpassed by any other iron on the market. Grain flow forging is Mizuno’s patented

forging technique whereby each iron is hand produced from a single piece of metal. Whilst other companies started to focus more on the cheaper casting process of manufacturing clubs, Mizuno started to invest heavily in further improving their forging process. Revered the world over, their range of blades and cavity blades are steeped in history and are consistently seen in the golf bags of the world’s best players, many of them who choose to use them without being paid to do so.

When Tiger Woods exploded onto the golfing scene, winning the U.S. Masters in 1997, he did so with Mizuno irons in his bag. Nick Faldo won all of his six majors with Mizuno irons in the bag. Brooks Koepka has won all of his majors with Mizuno irons in the bag. A player on the US PGA tour recently bought an off the shelf set of Mizuno irons in the club pro shop and promptly went out and won the tournament. Over the past decade, Mizuno have made tremendous strides in the game improvement iron sector and produced game improvement irons that almost match the blades for feel, something that was unthinkable just a few years ago. That combination of feel and performance is something that you simply have to try.

The current range of Mizuno irons is absolutely spectacular and covers every single level of golfer. The Mizuno MP-20 has been widely heralded as one of the best blades they have produced in years. After much research into why tour players preferred the feel of some of their older blades, Mizuno rediscovered the formula that made them so special and set about integrating it into the new MP-20 irons. Judging by the reception these amazing clubs have received it appears they have got it spot on. The MP-20 HMB iron is Mizuno’s first hollow headed iron and offers incredible performance from a stunning head that will appeal to a large variety of abilities. With only a slightly larger profile than the true MP-20 at address, the level of feel and forgiveness it brings are sure to make the HMB an all-time classic.

September saw the highly-anticipated release of the new range of JPX irons. The JPX 921 series is another huge step forward in iron design from Mizuno and the JPX 921 Forged is the first ever forged iron to feature a Chromoly face and offers previously unattainable ball speeds without sacrificing any of the feel Mizuno are famous for. The JPX 921 Tour has proven to be an instant hit amongst tour players with increased ball speeds without any cranking of lofts. It is another beautiful looking iron and will prove to be incredibly popular with better players that prefer to hit straight flighted shots instead of working the ball in. The JPX 921 Hot Metal and Hot Metal Pro have improved on the already superb performance of the 919 with the next gen Chromoly face. The Hot Metal Pro now has less offset and provides a great distance option for good ball strikers that are looking for more distance. Both offer explosive yet controllable speeds and represent Mizuno’s finest ever game improvement irons.

Mizuno continue to be the go-to clubs for looks and feel, and now they have added serious levels of performance there is guaranteed to be the perfect match for you within the stunning range of Mizuno irons.
