The release of a new range of PING golf clubs is a highly anticipated event on the golfing calendar as, unlike many other manufacturers, it only comes around every two years. Improving on the undoubted quality and incredible success of the G410 range was always going to require something special from this iconic American brand, and there can be no question that the PING G425 range is exactly that.
The driving iron or long iron replacement has become increasingly popular over the past few years and PING have been one of the driving forces behind this. Their Crossover iron was one of the first clubs of its type to hit the market and quickly found favour in the bags of amateur golfers and Tour players alike.
The PING G425 Crossover see PING return to a black Hydro-pearl design, and it must be said that its overall appearance is stunning. The face has been made the thinnest ever, with the maraging steel allowing for a greater strength and flexibility which results in higher ball speeds. The Tungsten weight has been strategically placed in the toe which has allowed PING to expand the perimeter weighting and makes this the most forgiving Crossover to date with M.O.I increased by 6.5%
The PING G425 Crossover is ideal for golfers that are looking for a club that can hit long and high-flying shots from the fairway or first cut of rough. The innovative internal geometry of this club provides the Crossover to do exactly that. It is also a great option for tight tee shots when the ball still needs to be sent a fair way down the hole.
