Standard junior package set clubs are fine for children who are just getting into the game. They allow them to try the game out to see if they like it before more money is spent on higher quality equipment. For children that have committed to the game they would benefit hugely from clubs that are designed to offer performance more in line with that offered by adult clubs.
The PING Prodi-G range of clubs are at the very top level of performance found in any junior club and are built to the same exacting specifications that the adult clubs are. The Prodi-G fairway wood has been designed to provide optimal launch and maximum distance for junior players
The fairway wood has a 22-degree loft which is ideal for the swing speed and launch angle of most junior players and PING’S patented Dragonfly technology helps to optimise CG placement and maximises resistance to twisting. Ping Prodi-G also have the advantage of being custom fit only, with each club made to measure to the perfect size.
As with all the PING Prodi-G clubs, if more than five are bought at the same time the junior is then entitled to free resizing of the clubs when they begin to outgrow them. This involves a re-measuring of the junior by the parents or the retailer and then the clubs are sent back to ping whereby brand-new shafts will be installed into the clubs that are perfect for the junior’s new height. This massively extends the life of the clubs and is a great way of keeping the quality high, but the cost down.
If you have a junior golfer in your life that is showing a lot of interest and potential, then the PING Prodi-G range would be a fantastic choice. They are unquestionably the best junior clubs available today and have the potential to transform the junior player’s game.

Often parent’s will choose lower cost items in junior clubs because the growth rate of their children causes them to outgrow them in a year or two. This then requires the purchase of more new clubs and the whole thing can spiral into never ending cycle of expense. The problem with the lower initial cost junior clubs is that they do lack in quality, and the child’s skills can be seriously hampered by this lack of performance.
PING have introduced a superb solution to this with their Get Golf Growing program. If any five of their Prodi-G clubs are bought at the same time this entitles the junior golfer to one free resizing of the clubs. The clubs can also be re-weighted at the same time and regripped all at no extra cost. There is no time limit to this, and the serial number found on the clubs is used to confirm eligibility.
The Prodi-G range is built to the same quality as the men’s golf clubs and they will massively outperform any other junior club on the market. The higher initial cost is offset by the free resizing allowing your child to use the best clubs available throughout their entire junior golf life.
The only extra cost involved in this process is the carriage costs to return the clubs back to PING for the resizing. Once PING have received the clubs, they will alter them and return them to the customer within a week. No other PING junior clubs are eligible for this program – it is specifically for the Prodi-G range.

What does Custom Fitting cost?
In many cases, there isn't a charge. Some suppliers do charge an upcharge for certain shafts or grips but there are many options that don't cost a penny more than the standard set.
Do Custom Fit sets take more time to be delivered?
Yes. As the clubs will be built by the manufacturer specifically for you, they may take up to 10-14 working days to be delivered. As soon as we receive them, we will send them on a next day delivery service and email you to let you know they are on the way.
