Samba, Stan Smith & Superstar hit the links - Icons Pack by adidas

2022 was a solid year for performance footwear from adidas. Boasting releases such as the spiked Tour 360 and their game changing, spikeless release, Codechaos to name but two. Courses all over the planet were inundated with adidas shoes on foot.

As we've moved in to 2023 adidas have continued with full steam ahead. We have already seen the release of the popular ZG23 in both classically laced and BOA options and with an expected keen ear to the streetwear trends, adidas have now dropped their most iconic footwear release to date.

The Icons Pack unleashes 3 staple adidas Originals silhouettes, which remain true to the original design, and imbues them with all the tech needed to translate in to the highest performing golf shoe possible. The Samba, Stan Smith and Superstar have all been delivered in a limited cool grey and off-white colourway, which will undoubtedly shake up the on course footwear game.

Firstly, a giant in current streetwear trends, the Samba. Rich in footballing heritage, now transformed in to a streetwear icon, helped in part to its huge collaborations with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Disney and Gucci, to name but a few, the Samba now explodes on to the course in 2023. With a reinforced, EVA-cushioned midsole, waterproof upper and adidas' adiwear spikeless traction outsole, the Samba now embodies all that you need to remain locked in on the course whilst still looking your best.

Secondly, the Stan Smith. Originally created in 1963 as a streamlined, sturdy tennis shoe to rival the canvas styled shoes that had come before it, the Stan Smith has since become a timeless staple in adidas' roster. Effortlessly stylish, the Stan Smith has now been hit with a splash of golfing technology to make it ideal for any occasion on course. As with the other releases in the pack, the Stan Smith makes use of a leather upper and cushioned EVA midsole, whilst bringing with it some incredible detailing. The heel overlays are effortlessly stylish and burst of colour sees the adiwear traction coated in a multitude of colours in a "camo" styling to really make the shoe pop.

Lastly, the Superstar. Designed for the basketball courts in the 70's, celebrated by hip hop royalty in the 80's the adidas Superstar now takes its place as a staple for streetwear enthusiasts across the globe. The spiked offering of the 3, the Superstar brings with it that same burst of colour covering the outsole as the Stan Smith, this time with 6 strategically placed rubber spikes for the ultimate in on course traction.
