Over the past decade or so, GPS distance measuring devices have become an important part of a golfer’s equipment. They can supply a huge amount of information that allows you to plot your way around a golf course, even if it is one you have never played before. The Performance Plan is a new subscription service that works through your existing Motocaddy GPS Electric Trolley and harnesses the in-built cellular connectivity that the M5 GPS, M5 DHC GPS and M-Tech GPS trolleys already have built in to them. So far, these trolleys have only shown basic yardage information on the screen, with greater detail only available by pairing the trolley to the free Motocaddy app that can be downloaded onto your smartphone.  

By signing up to the Performance Plan this will now unlock a selection of never seen before performance-enhancing features that will be displayed on the large LCD screens on each trolley. These features include 

Full Hole Mapping provides access to 40,000 courses directly on the LCD screen and allows you to quickly check distances to hazards and a lay-up point of your choosing with a simple touch of the finger. The Detailed Green view shows excellent visibility of greenside hazards and allows for drag and drop pin positions to give you a more accurate distance to the pin. 

The amazing new functionality of your existing trolley doesn’t stop there though as the trolley with now allow you to keep detailed records of your scoring and statistics including, fairways hit and greens in regulation using the touchscreen display. You can then access the performance analysis section during play to see which areas of your game you are excelling in, and which areas are under-performing. These can be uploaded to the motocaddy database for further analysis post round using the free Motocaddy GPS app. 

There is no need to worry about updating the trolley when changes have been made to a course, as any updates are downloaded automatically as soon as they become available and you arrive at that course. The same is true of any firmware updates that the trolley may require as any downloads needed are done ‘on-the-go'
