Supercharge Your Game with PING G430

PING set themselves apart from almost other of the other major manufacturers by only releasing a new range once every two years. This undoubtedly raises anticipation levels to a feverish pitch, and usually results in performance enhancements being more significant. The G425 was a phenomonal success in every single category of club, delivering a range that was universally accepted to be the easiest to use. Lets dive in to the new PING G430 family and see what delights PING have in store for the golfing world.

PING claim to have unlocked more distance and speed through the implementation of groundbreaking technologies (such as CarbonFly Wrap) without compromising for the extreme forgiveness levels they have become famous for. The driver family once again consists of three distinct models (G430 Max, G430 LST & G430 SFT), with each one delivering vastly different characteristics that allow the discerning golfer to select the head that best suits their ability and playing style.

PING G430 Max

The G430 MAX (460cc) remains the most forgiving of the three heads and will therefore suit the widest cross section of golfers. A 25-gram,high-density tungsten moveable backweight influences shot shape, delivering ±10 yards between the Draw, Neutral and Fade settings. Available in 9°, 10.5° and 12° lofts. Loft is adjustable ±1.5°and lie up to 3° flat from standard using the 8-setting Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel empowering players to fine tune their ball flight like never before. Acoustics on the PING G430 Max have been significantly improved through a new internal rib structure, and this superb driver now delivers a much more appealing and rewarding sensation through impact. The clubface now benefits from variable thickness technology that has been made thinner overall creating increased clubface deflection. In laymans terms that means that the G430 Max is now extremely long and takes its rightful place at the very pinnacle of drivers on the market today.

PING G430 LST Driver

The LST version of the G430 will undoubtedly be the most popular choice amongst those golfers lucky enough to have a fast clubhead speed and decent ball striking ability. The LST is the first PING driver to benefit from their new CarbonFly Wrap composite crown whereby the crown wraps into the heel and toe of the skirt, which both saves weight and lowers the CG whilst increasing both ball speed and M.O.I. So whilst it is still aimed at the better player, this technology makes the G430 LST the most playable low spin driver ever made. As on the MAX, the LST benefits from a much improved sound and feel through impact, and this massively improved experience will be welcomed by golfers of every skill level. As you can see in the image below, PING have smashed a home run with the aesthetics on the new G430 LST driver. Its looks truly stunning at address and gives the golf the sense that it is going to send the ball a long ways down the fairway.

PING G430 SFT Driver

The SFT version of PING drivers have always been a popular choice for the golfer who often struggles with a slice and the release of the G430 SFT is only going to increase its demand. For the first time ever in an SFT PING have now afforded the golfer the ability to change how much draw bias is on the club with a two-position CG shifter. When the weight is placed in the draw setting the SFT delivers an impressive 13 yards of slice correction. When placed in the Draw+ setting the slice correction increases to a massive 20 yards which will straighten out even the most violent of slices. When this is combined with the adjustablility provided by the loft sleeve, golfers have a wealth of options to help them drive the ball further and straighter than ever before.

PING G430 Fairway Wood Family

There is something about a PING fairway wood that simply inspires confidence when placed behind the ball at address and they have always sat beautifully, with just the right balance of size and face depth. That continues with the G430 range and aesthetically PING have delivered superb in every aspect of the design. There are two models available to choose from on the launch date, with a third (the LST) arriving later in the summer. The G430 Max is, much like like the driver, the most balanced option and it is the one that will be chosen by the most golfers. A composite crown has been used to save weight, lower CG and increase M.O.I and this crown then wraps into the heel and toe of the skirt, making the G430 Max the easiest fairway wood to use of all time. Ballspeeds have been given a significant boost by the use of a thin, maraging steel face whilst variable role radius on the club face provides a consistent spin level - regardless of where the ball is struck. The G430 SFT fairway wood will once again be the number one choice for those golfers that struggle with too much slice spin on their shots.

PING G430 Hybrids

If you are one of the many golfers that suffers from daily struggles with long and mid irons, then choosing from the fantastic range of PING G430 Hybrids should be your number one golfing priority. PING offer a huge array of lofts starting at 17° (#2) and running all the way down to 34° (#7) enabling golfers to choose the ideal options to fill the gaps in their golf bag. As in the fairway woods the PING G430 Hybrid benefits from a composite crown construction and facewrap technology that saves weight, lowers the CG and increases ball speed. The addition of a tungsten sole weight further improves forgiveness. Golf is a hard game, of that there is absolutely no doubt. What is also without question, is that the PING G430 hybrids make the game just about as easy as it is possible for it to be.

PING G430 Irons

The PING G series of irons have consistently been the number one sellers in the game improvement category year after year, with each new range suprpassing the previous one in every area of performance. The G425 iron was the first G series iron to benefit from Metal-Wood construction and this helped deliver performance levels that had never been seen in a iron before. That has been taken a step further with the release of the PING G430 irons which can only be good news for golfers across the world. A thinner face has been used in the construction of the G430 irons and when this is combined with a lower CG, PING have been able create an extra 2+mph of ball speed with each iron. Feel has been significantly improved through the use of a Multi-Material cavity badge whilst Tungsten toe & shaft tip weights have been added to increase forgiveness levels still further.

The sole of the PING G430 iron has been given an additional 1° of bounce throughout the set to ensure clean turf interaction and helps to minimise heavy contacts that result in the ball finishing well short of the green. A shorter hosel length helps to create a much cleaner look at address, and there is no doubt this is the best looking G Series iron that PING have ever created.
