Scottsdale Golf x Mia Baker

As many of you will know by now, Scottsdale Golf do love an exciting collaboration with leading brands and intriguing personalities with the goal of bringing you, our valued customers, the very best in golfing products and content. With that said, we are now delighted to announce our latest partnership with none other than Mia Baker. Mia has been making waves in the golf industry over the last couple of years and she has built up an impressive online following with people inspired by her mission and her remarkable endeavours at becoming a proficient golfer.

Mia's background certainly didn't have her pegged as a future star of the golfing world, although with a degree in mathematics she would have provided exceptionally well worked out yardages should caddying ever have interested her! Pre-pandemic, Mia was putting her academic background to good use by working for a genetic testing company in the heath & wellness sector. However, in the midst of the COVID-19 dramatics, the sticky tentacles of golf gathered Mia up for the first time and her life took a sudden change of direction. As many a budding lady golfer has discovered in the past, golf is not always the easiest sport for women to get involved in, with high street stores and online retailers stocking very little, if any, ladies equipment.

Mia decided to take it upon herself to try and action a change in the industry, and now just a couple of years later, you'd have to say she's done somewhat of a remarkable job. She began by documenting her journey into golf and the many challenges that came with it, offering advice and hope to people at the same stage of their golfing life, and inspiration to people that had previously been too apprehensive to jump in. Mia's love of fashion also shines through, and she can often be seen showcasing the latest and on trend outfits that allow lady golfers to look their best out on the fairways or at the driving range.

To date, Mia has worked with golfing behemoths like adidas Golf, TaylorMade, IMG and even the gatekeepers of the game, the R&A, and she has quickly become a household name through her social media presence. The content Mia provides on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok is entertaining, informative and inspiring, and her relaxed and easy going presenting style lends itself perfectly to these mediums.

Mia's numerous talents don't end there though, as she also hosts a successful podcast called "Unsussed with Mia Baker" which is available on Spotify, Google, Apple and Amazon. She has also released a children's book called "Just don't give up!" and is currently working on a second one! With all this work it's hard to see how Mia could find the time to work on her own game, but work on it she has. If you have followed her progress on Instagram, it is amazing to see how much her technique and all round golfing ability has improved in such a relatively short space of time. Hopefully Mia's journey into the unknown will help others make that first leap into taking up this most wonderful of sports.
