We are delighted and hugely excited to announce that we have teamed up with adidas Golf and European Tour Star Guido Migliozzi to script his outfits for the 2022 Betfred British Masters. Hosted by former Masters Champion Danny Willett at legendary Ryder Cup venue, The Belfry, the British Masters is being played from the 5th to the 8th May 2022.

What is outfit scripting?
In recent years, many of the large golf clothing brands plan ahead or "script" what their star athletes will wear for the larger tournaments.  So for example, at the turn of the year, adidas Golf will sit down with golfing giants like Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa and decide on what they will wear for The Masters Tournament, held in April.  The golfers will want to wear highly functional, top performing clothing and footwear to aid their bid of winning a Green Jacket.  The sportswear brand will want to showcase their latest offerings knowing that the eyes of the golfing world will be tuned on Augusta for that week.  The same thing is done for events like The Players, US Open, US PGA and The Open Championship.  The only exception of course is The Ryder Cup, where the players adorn team uniform for the 3 day match.

About DP World Tour Star Guido Migliozzi
Born in 1997, Guido hails from Vicenza, close to Venice in the north of Italy.  A quality amateur career was followed by him turning professional in 2016.  After getting his card for the European Tour in November 2018, he won twice the following year which propelled him into the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time (he has now been ranked as high as 65).  He finished second at the 2021 edition of the British Masters - an event made famous by Richard Bland winning his first European Tour event on his 478th start.  Guido qualified for his first Major Championship at the 2021 US Open.  His stunning tie for 4th place got him into The Masters for 2022.  Known for his amazing stinger off a high tee, he was the first player to be signed to Niall Horan's management company, Modest Golf!  Guido is an adidas Golf and Callaway Golf athlete.

About The Brabazon Course at The Belfry

What was playing in your first Masters like?
"Incredible, amazing to walk that course and see my idol, Tiger Woods play live"

Which Major would you most like to win?
"The Masters and The Open Championship - those two are the best for me"

What's your mindset for this event, considering you finished 2nd last year?
"Jump 1 position and go for it"

Who is your favourite golfer and why?
"Tiger Woods, because he is the GOAT. Dominant"

What's the most memorable moment of your career so far?
"Coming 4th in my first Major at the US Open at Torrey Pines.  Great week with my caddie and team in a beautiful place"

How often do you practice outside of Tournaments and what takes the most time?
"Depends on what I am trying to achieve. If it's a large change or something minor. I practice every day for hours and hours. Long game takes the most time for sure"

Are you working on anything in particular at the moment?
"Working hard on the long game at the moment.  I have been struggling a little lately so been working hard on that part"

If you weren't a Professional Golfer, what would you be doing?
"I'd be a Professional Briscola player - that's an Italian card game"

What's your favourite TV Show and are you watching anything at the moment?
"Breaking Bad. I am watching Drive To Survive at the moment. I love it. I like F1, especially when Ferrari are winning"
