Our incredible Express Custom Service explained
If you have visited the Scottsdale Golf website before you may have noticed that certain clubs have an Express Custom option available when purchasing. Let me take this opportunity to explain exactly what this amazing option is.
Historically, golfers were able to order custom fit golf clubs in one of two ways. If they know their specification, they could order their clubs online from an authorised retailer. Alternatively, they could attend a fitting appointment, have measurements taken and a specification reached for the new clubs. Either way, the new clubs would be built by the manufacturer. This takes anywhere between a few days and a few weeks. Sadly, during the pandemic, the lead times reached levels never seen before and some brands were quoting 90-100 days to build custom fit golf clubs.
Thankfully for our customers, Scottsdale Golf are in the privileged position of being able to offer our Express Custom service. In December of 2021, Tyrell Hatton officially opened our fabulous Performance & Build Centre which is situated in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Within this fabulous new facility, we have a purpose-built workshop which is where customers watch their new clubs come to life, after they have completed their custom fit session.
As one of very few retailers in the UK to be supplied with clubhead components direct from the manufacturer, we are also able to use our workshop to offer our Express Custom service on selected brands such as Mizuno, PXG, Miura, and Srixon. This service enables you to build clubs to your exact specifications on our website, with the full choice of our expansive shaft and grip matrix. This will often give you the opportunity to create clubs with combinations that would otherwise not be available.
Once we have received your Express Custom order, they will be built by our master craftsmen to your exact specifications, to the strictest tolerance levels in the industry. We will then deliver them to your front door for free within a maximum of one week. Ordering a new driver or a new set of clubs is an exciting time for any golfer, so the fact that we can build and deliver them to our customers in such a short time frame is something we are immensely proud of.

Express Custom is a unique service that Scottsdale Golf Offer whereby custom fit online orders are built in house by our highly skilled club builders in our state-of-the-art workshop.
What's express about it?
Most custom fit orders have long lead times which means customers often have to wait many weeks for their custom fit clubs to arrive. We build your new clubs to your exact specifications in just 3 working days.
How can you offer this service?
Scottsdale Golf are in the fortunate position of holding component accounts with virtually all of the major brands. Companies (Mizuno, for example) simply send us just the heads. When we combine them with our huge stock of graphite and steel shafts and grips from all the leading brands, it allows us to build them to your specs in just a couple of days.
Does quality suffer?
Absolutely not! All of our builders are highly experienced, and have received extensive training directly from the brands themselves. There is no production line - just complete devotion on each set to building them to the exact specifications required.
Are there other benefits?
Most certainly! We often offer head, shaft and grip combinations that would not be available anywhere else, giving you the freedom to choose your perfect and quite unique combination.
Do I receive the same guarantee?
The guarantee you receive is the same whether they are built at the manufacturer, or built by Scottsdale Golf. The only difference is the speed at which you will receive them!
